Yep!! Crazy isn't it.. on the second day of owning it i was saying why is this phone giving off so much heat then poof. now the problem is i lost most of my contacts and all of my text messages. As they transferred all my stuff to that phone and took back the old. So i mostly have 1/2 of what was saved on Google.

Can everyone please text me there info again . Names and screen names. So i can build back my contact list.

Good thing is all my pictures where saved on my sd card. So it wasnt a total loss.

BACKUP YOUR CONTACTS AND TEXTS !!

Also if you need my number its in my member profile.

Thanks

It finally happened, You were talking so fast your phone burst into flames.

Wow, pretty crazy.

I am a proud member of the "burner phone" club. Never had a smart phone, only use the 19.99 burners from walmart and swap the sim card when I need a new one. 15 Bucks a month for voice and text! I usually leave it at home when I take the Scrambler, just to get the full 80's effect.

I'm due for an upgrade and was going to get that phone. Then I read about them "blowing up". Seems they have a battery issue

Yea and its a sealed unit. New water proff feature. So you cant take the battery out like the note 4

Wow! You're hearing about these so much that I have a very hard time believing that they didn't catch this in development... man!

See the Grand Cherokee that the guy claimed had one in it charging in the console that caught on fire and burned the Jeep down?

That phone in particular is banned to leave on in our Aussie planes now

Took hh6 and my new phones in for the exchange yesterday. Neither of us had any issues with ours but we use the chargers that you just lay the phone on. They cut off charging when the battery is full. Just a headache waiting 2.5 hours for a phone rep then the wait of transferring the data. All ok now...i guess.

Just saw that Samsung halted production and is allegedly killing this phone off after the replacements were igniting...

I heard the replacements had issues. Did not know that they already killed production.

Guy at work told me this today also.

Wife, who is in charge of the cell/tech stuff in our house, has said we are keeping our 7's. I couldn't care either way but am growing tired of the hassle. Not to mention Samsung isn't making any effort to make us feel better.
When her VW tdi fell into the emission issue list, VW has been all over trying to keep our business. Samsung... nothing.
One thing I will say is we use those chargers that you just lay the phone down on. They shut off charging when the battery is full. I'm speculating that all these that are catching fire are from the charger that plugs into the bottom of the phone. I may be wrong but we've had zero issue with ours.*shrugs*

Yes some of my friends who have pay extra for the wirlesss charger and have had no problems as of now. But who knows how long that will last. Yes you might get away with home charging the phone but what about when your in your car? I do that when im on the way back home. Taking a risk from charging my phone in my jeep and setting it on fire isnt a option.lucky i caught it before any damage happened...i went to sprint and ordered me a new note 4 as i didnt want the edge . Hope this lasts another 2 years till the note 8 comes out... Funny you mentioned vw as my cousin just got his buyback and he said it was the easiest money he ever got back without hassle.

...said every single person who had one right up until the moment theirs caught on fire.

Just sayin'
I agree it's more than possible, more like probable. I'm just tired of messing with it for nothing. Traded in my note 5, her note 6 and (she) paid a premium to get us new phones. Wasted 4 hours one day and 3 hours a couple days later to get the new phones, set them up, and time since getting them adjusted to where I can understand how to work it. She ordered cases for us (So I wont break mine). Now we are supposed to turn it in for... what? I'm just not happy. And the fact we have had zero issues with ours makes it even worse. I have less problems with my jeeps. [emoji17]
