I covered up this project for the winter, as quick as I started it. But today I did cut some 70s 1 piece molded tops up to make a future full top, with inspiration from forum member Jak Inc's full top that looks like an extended 7 top 
Was happy to see it will only take 2. And it cleared the Rollbar with almost same distance as the 7 snubber. This will get its own thread when I get further , but in a year or 2 ..

Good luck with the top project! It should be one of the best fitting full tops around considering it would be OEM on the windshield frame and lift gate. Any thoughts for dealing with the curved glass?

We will. Cosmetics are not priority as we need to get this thing reliable enough for her to DD when we turn in her VW tdi. I like that the muscle grille is aluminum vs the plastic of the existing one. "Chromed" plastic is stupid on a vehicle made of so much steel. I also think the vertical lines flow better with the Jeep's lines than the thinner, more horizontal ones it has. Gonna have to try and tap out some minor dents and polish it up before it goes on. Probably reprint the insert and other accent areas too.

Thanks Jak. I was either going to have a seam in the glass with a special joint or see how flat may fit with a little convincing of the top edge. Is your top made with curved glass? I assume it is[emoji6]

The top was formed flat to use flat glass. I replaced the tinted glass with new clear glass when I redid the top though. I still have the original tinted glass if you could use it.
