I am currently planning to be out there for JPFreek and wanted to see who else is going to be around.

As opposed to years past, I'm not going to try to book myself full every single morning, day and night and want to try to actually enjoy some of the week (usually the most soul-crushingly tiring week of my year each year, just ahead of SEMA.)

Will have the postal with the World Cab and roof rack. I should be super easy to spot.

No I'm not going but maybe some day. I think it is good to lighten the load, and enjoy yourself some. You can go out and have some fun and still get the story. Life is and can be short. I've done some things, but not nearly what I want to do to enjoy the journey

Honestly, all I truly care about this year is getting to actually drive the Gladiator and whatever other concepts they have at the Jeep media day Monday. I am told by someone who knows very well that this EJS is going to be "all about the Gladiator."

This is also the only time I get to see a number of friends in the industry, so that's always good too. Would love to add getting to meet new Scrambler people.

I'll be there...or I mean here. Let's try to meet at some point. I can't wait to see an actual Gladiator since I'm still planning to buy one unless Jeep slaps a stupid price on them.

I think I've posted the link before...but the cam is updated every 2 minutes so it can give an idea of current weather conditions in the area. The camera is on the outside wall of the cabin...about 6 feet from my desk.

Castleton Weather Camera

After 23 inches of snow in 7 days at my location about a week ago, there was 0.9" of rain yesterday. Road crews are currently clearing numerous rockslides from Highways 128 and 279, as well as the Kane Creek road.

Pretty sure I'm going. 0% planned right now. I'm way ahead this year on planning.

I will be there all week, gunning on three days, trail runs two other days. Vendor show on Thursday, how about lunch at Milt's? ?

Cool.

I’ve heard all kinds of things about that place and went by once only to immediately leave due to the line. Just looked at the google reviews and they are ALL OVER the map. Its crazy.

Milt's chili cheeseburgers were legendary...many years ago when Milt and Audrey still owned it. I rarely go there any more because it has become so crowded (like most places in town)...but I'm willing to try a lunch meet. Waiting for our meals would give time to admire Scramblers. 48Bob, weren't you at the meet at the base of Baby Lion's Back a couple of years ago?

I'm up for trying anything, some of the reviews are a bit scary but you never know what led to them or if they're legit.

Yes Moabite, I did meet you there. The line at Milt`s is always long, but so far the burgers and fries have always been as good as anywhere else in town, and my wife loves the shakes!

Me and BadKarma ate at Milt's during the National Scrambler a few years ago. It was good, not sure I would wait in line for hours to eat there, though

That’s basically what I’d heard but I was shocked at some of the google reviews when I checked them out there.

I'll be coming through on Sunday in the scrambler but can hang around too long since I have to save vacation days for the scrambler event in sand hollow. I'll look for you while I am in town

Five inches of heavy snow at my place today and still coming down. There was snow about half way down the Moab Rim when I was in town earlier. It was 83 degrees in town Monday. Current image from my weather cam:

Better this week than this weekend or next week I guess. Watched the weather channel this morning to get a feeling for the where/when and it looks like it's going to head north just in time for my trip out :fingerscrossed:

Beautiful day today but still a bunch of snow at anything over about 6000 feet. Forecast is for sun and high 60s-low 70s next week...with the exception of Tuesday. I'm still hoping to meet with some folks from this forum. The Scrambler and I will be in town Thursday most of the day when I plan to visit the vendor display. We'll be up at the sheriff's command post on the Sand Flats road Saturday and working traffic control during the mass exodus Saturday morning. I can also come in Wednesday or Friday if that fits in with anyone's schedule.

I’m headed west later today to wait for the last of this storm to pass (just rain here) and to hit the Chicago area on the back side of rush hour.

Planning on getting into town sometime Sunday, hopefully on the earlier side.

What about lunch on Thursday? I don’t have anything planned other than hitting the vendor show.

I actually don’t have to leave the area until Sunday evening, would there be any interest in a scenic drive or easy trail ride Sunday morning? We could meet for breakfast and go from there.
