One of my favorite areas in CO, we go down there to camp, fish, and hike a lot. If mine is finished by then I will do everything in my power to make it. Would love to meet you all in person since I'm still a half-lurking noobie.

Mine should be on the road by then and will attempt any trails 31"s can conquer. Buena Vista is a little over 2 hours from Denver.

Just a heads up, we briefly started looking and apparently a lot of places are booked solid already.

I've never been to Nationals before. When do people start showing up? A few days before? I know we will be planning on likely staying for week. Probably show up on the 17th ish. I definitely wanted to check out the ghost towns (I'm a history nerd) There are a couple within an hour of Buena Vista.

Since I've never been to one of these, do most people get rooms or do some camp?
Is there an agreed upon campsite?
I'm thinking a few nights camping & a few nights air bnb..

We are renting a house and just got our confirmation. There were definitely a good number of options through Airbnb. We will be coming into town on the 17th early afternoon and leaving the 26th. Since it's a pretty good hike from Wisconsin we wanted to stay for the week and do other things too. There are various sites/things that we really want to check out. Once we figure out what we are all doing I'll post up here so if anyone wants to join us they are welcome to.

I've never been to Nationals before. When do people start showing up?

It just varies.

We are looking at arriving the 21st or 22nd.

We also plan to hit the Colorado Scramble after the National. It's going to be in Breckenridge. If usual schedule holds for it, it would be July 27-29.
