AMC used a special wire coating with cracks built in to the sheathing. Those in the know refer to them as 'crack wires'. Concourse judges award extra points for original crack wires; essential for a perfect restoration.

Looks great and perfect stance on 33s. I can't wait to see it in all stock paint color eventually. 👍

Next year at the earliest for matching paint.

Driver seat is in with slider. Still need the brake booster but decided to get the steering column in. Running out of stuff to put back together, I’ll fight the brake booster bolts later.
The engine wiring and plumbing should be done. I did however find that the old radiator is no good. We need a new radiator Mike, and a battery, shocks, etc…🤪

So this thing is pretty close. Waiting on Mike to shake the money tree a bit more so it’s drivable.
Needs shocks, brake booster set up, the radiator that he had is pretty much toast. It sprung a few leaks when I filled it up.
Oh and the brand new Holley sniper kit has an issue. The touch screen doesn’t work right out of the box. So a new touch screen is on the way.

Well it's good that another is on the way. Going to port the app to my tablet. Then once the rollcage is in mount it on the windshield hoop to flip down when needed.
As far as funds, I'm still unemployed and haven't even received the 1st check and I was laid off in August. I'm trying to sell my motorcycle to finish this stage properly.
Looks great! Oh I'm working on antique plates too.
So close!
I haven't found a good spare rim yet either

For those that follow me on social media I posted a video tonight of mikes jeep running and driving into the garage! 🤩🎉
I was able to get my hands on another Holley sniper touch screen today and program it. On the first start it didn’t want to fire off so I added some timing and it fires right up!

Someone more tech savvy than me can probably post a link of it running here from social media platform.

Picked up a couple things at the local auto zone.Air cleaner and breather for the valve cover. Part numbers for future reference.

Now, the stock air cleaner will work with the Holley sniper but we have upgraded mikes brakes to power so if he wants to go back to the stock air cleaner he will need to find a factory off set one. So that it clears the power brake booster.

Faulty fitting at the master cylinder leaked and then pulled air back into the system. No I have to re-bleed the entire brake system. PITA
