Bestop Upper Fabric Doors

I have the same set of uppers for my half doors. I like the look but don't care much for the rattling of the uppers. The doors fit tight but the uppers move quite a bit. Gr8dain, you notice that noise with yours? I'm not sure how they could be shimmed to fit better.

I don’t notice any rattling. But it may be there, but all of the other noises drown it out.

What rattles on yours? The wobbling of the upper in the holes? I did bend mine inward so that the upper presses against the top and won’t flop so much.

I don’t have the best sealing, but I have not put a ton of effort into aligning my doors and windshield to close it up any better. I only use mine in the winter and they hold the heat in, so I am pleased.

On mine, the profile is not perfect, so I go from having a door that shuts well and rattles to one that I have to slam but seals well and doesn't rattle. A fine line, to say the least.

Sorry to hear. I added bolts to the rear pin of the passenger upper to keep it from falling into the hole on the door too far to keep the top corner better aligned to the top.

Moral of the story, nothing fits perfectly

I found some YJ uppers with the round corner. I also have the TJ uppers and used them before I got these. On the first set of TJ uppers, I cut and rewelded the rear pin to fit in the door correctly. The second set I just let the rear pin scratch the plastic door card. Lazy. But these YJ uppers made for the hard top work great. Made my Steel Horse.

It was definitely the poor man’s alignment for sure. Almost got it on the first try. Actually got it to an appropriate Toe in on the third try.
