Still waiting on parts, including a roof, but stared tapping factory bed liner out for bed rail bolts.

Then unboxing, organizing parts, bolt together in sections

Assemble and adjust hatch including drilling new holes for struts to work correctly… just need the roof and interior lights

Bulletpoint are as good as mounts get. Need to get the one on the shelf mounted in the "new" XJ.

The cigarette lighter socket removal tool is a life saver!! I have installed two of these Gladiator trailer brake kits, the lighter removal without using the tool was a PIA. Used the tool on the 2nd install, piece of cake. I was also nervous popping off the plastic trim pieces!!

My tool was a little thick, grinder sized it just fine.

Initial progress on the rear light control center. This will manage cargo lights, table lights, scene side lights, chase lights, etc. There is a black cover that will screw in when wiring is complete. I tested the Switch Pro system and it has impressive way to control lights combined with Bluetooth and iPhone App that allows configuration of each switch, triggers, strobe and even dimmers. It will be a few post before this is completed

The front shock reservoirs mount to frame horns on stock bumpers. I have plans for a stubby bumper and lights. Test fitted components and the side of this bumper is really only option. I will have to start this way and see if it grows on me or find new options…
