Do a search of posts. There was a recent one (I am thinking in last 2 months) about same thing. CB is $$$. But there were other sources listed & the asker ended up purchasing one from one of the sources listed in the post. Keep looking- you should be able to find them cheaper than CB. :cheers:

Good question & one I will face on at least one of my builds. I think if you did a good weld with good penetration, it would be fine. You could probably also wled the seam then weld a patch over that spanning both parts across the seam. It would not look as pretty but would make it stronger...

Well I understand the cost to rebuild & do such a nice job and it does look nice, but $65K? Yes it must be the crowd he was putting it in front of. Plus not even a OEM metal body it is only worth around $55K! :eek: :crazy:

Please post where you found to buy floor in sections. I know I have seen for the CJ8 the middle long large section, then the 4 corners where the roll bar mounts to floor but not ever seen where the main center section can be bought in pieces. thnx, Dan :cheers:

I will bet it will work but will just be shorter than a full 8 floor. I have a CJ7 floor I plan to use for a repair in the future then use scraps of good floor peieces I have from other Scrambers to fill in the rest. :D
