    CJ-7(6.0L AX15) with a TDK frame build

To keep from having any fuel supply issues, we changed out the fuel tank to the Genright fuel tank. This tank has internal baffling and is set up to use a YJ fuel sender but I chose to build my own since I would need to modify the stock pump module anyhow. This tank is one beautiful piece....

    CJ-7(6.0L AX15) with a TDK frame build

I thought you all would appreciate the build I'm doing on this Jeep for a customer. This will generally speaking be a stock looking CJ-7 from the outside visual but have everything else updated otherwise. This will be running a 6.0L Vortec engine with an AZ-15 transmission. Here's a couple of...

Time to let the cat out of the bag-

Thanks guys... I can say that the accounting/billing side of the business sure isn't the fun part of the whole experience. :)

Time to let the cat out of the bag-

Yea...Most people including most of my customers didn't know I was the son-in-law. The way I saw it was it really made no difference to what I was doing so I kept that to myself. I'll get to work on the same stuff here at my own shop now so I'll just continue on with the "normal" day at the shop...

Time to let the cat out of the bag-

So I have been laying low for a couple of years on here and in my personal life. As some of you know, I worked at my family's hot rod shop Chuck's Speed Center for 20+ years playing with some cool stuff. A couple years back, I separated myself from the business and pulled completely away from...

    Current Scrambler pics

I had to go chase some parts today since Discount Tire decided to cross thread three wheel studs on my Ram 2500 yesterday. At 114 degrees today and no top, the air conditioner nearly makes it tolerable.

4le90 vs 8le90 transmission behind LS?

You are absolutely correct with the information about the later useage of the 4L65/70 with the later LS based engines.

4le90 vs 8le90 transmission behind LS?

The 4L80E will use an external controller if you run a LS that is newer than 2006. The 6L80E has the controller in the valve body and I'm not sure if that will be compatible with the pre 2007 LS based engines. The post 2006 engine controller will share information on the can bus that the 6L80E...

Advance Auto parts shutting down the western states stores

Note to self for all of us west coast people out there....You might make your way to your Advance Auto parts because most of the shelf stuff is 40% off, batteries 50% off, oils 40% off, and the hard parts are 90% off. I just got half of the stuff I need to get my kid's TJ going. That included a...

    Novak in tank fuel pump

He was taking about the outlet on the pump not having a flare on it which would be plastic. I wouldn't recommend flaring the plastic outlet.

    Novak in tank fuel pump

I never use the rubber coupler hose that comes with some fuel pump kits. Most of them these days are junk and might last a couple of years at best. That is why I use the submersible Gates hose above or convert to the corrugated hose. Unfortunately, not all of the corrugated hose is made the same...

    Novak in tank fuel pump

When you replace that line, make sure to replace it with fuel submersible fuel line such as this https://www.amazon.com/Gates-27093-Fuel-Line-Hose/dp/B001R5XSGU or some of the corrugated hose like this...

    bigwalton's Postal Stroker

I'm just saying that the injector sizing seems big. If he has tuned these before, he should have a pretty good grasp at the lb/hr he would need.

    bigwalton's Postal Stroker

I'm not sure where the max of 70% duty cycle came from because the max duty cycle number has always been 80% as a general rule. You can get up to 90% but only if you just flash it. By 90%, you don't have much control over the fuel flow thru the injector. Has Eli tuned one of these strokers yet?

    bigwalton's Postal Stroker

The larger the injectors are, the more difficult they can be to control at idle(depending on the injector style/model). It's kinda like getting a drink of water from a fire hose with too large of injector. That's the control you need to have to flow minimal pulse rates at idle conditions. There...
