i used my "'91 rail and injectors with a 2000 intake. i dont know where you read the other stuff, but the "***-dyno" registers a big differance

yup! had to replace them on every jeep i have owned

the ps pump mount and the PS pump are different. any intake from any 96+ 4.0 will have the same mounting setup. the intakes are interchangeable though, so you can keep you current intake for the new engine. for performance you are better off with the 99 intake and just go buy a PS pump for any...

the dash plate is intact. it is the firewall plate that i am concerned with. when i was cleaning up the rust, one of the #'s disintegrated.

What can be done when the firewall VIN plate has through rust on it? Is there a place that can stamp a new one? Is it a trip to club fed to “fix” the damage? What do you guys do for rusted out VIN plates?

i was refering to the 44's being 30 spl. the 8.8 and 44's seem to be equal in availability down here. i run 44's. just cant get my mind wrapped around Ford products. they are both good axles. you shouldnt regret either.

arent d44s 30 spline? the d44 vs 8.8 debat has been played out all over the jeepin world. the 8.8, on paper, looks a little stronger. i think they are about the same in real world situations. the 44 might be easier to find. the 8.8 has discs from the factory. most 44s will require this...

what kind of clearance do you have? does it rub @ full articulation? if it doesnt, then there is enough clearance.

just go get it reblasted and primered right. you are doing a frame off, so dont cheap out on the little things. it's really the right way to do it.

the foam should sit ontop of teh springs, take it to an upholstery shop. they should be able to do something for you to repair and recover the seats. i had thought about running a bench in the "8" project i am working on. does anyone have pics?
