    Powertrax amc20

I don't see anything recent so bear with me. Thoughts on a Powertrax 9201202900 "No-Slip Traction" unit for my current 2 pc amc 20 4.10 setup? This is 99% street driven - but thinking of doing a bit of exploring in the hills. No LSD of any kind front or back - just thinking about adding...

    Rear Brake Line Size

What should the size of the brake line be from the proportioning valve back to the flex hose for the rear axle? I put 3/16 on mine - wondering if that should be 1/4 to match the size of the line from the master cylinder to the proportioning valve?

Jack Points for Front Shackle Work

What's the recommended procedure for jacking the front to remove/replace the Front Shackles? The back of the springs seems a long way aft and there's nowhere obvious to spread across both frames, underneath the cowl mount? Or 3 jacks? not much room for axle stands either though :(

    My 84 Postal

Happen to have some free time with the latest pandemic situation, so here's some catchup. Purchased this in 2017 - probably should have done something different - but... / We started to strip it down immediately, i was in no doubt that the rust bug was everywhere. I hadn't bargained for how...

    Jack Stowage Problem

So on my Postal there was never a jack mounted in the engine compartment, but there was provision for the bracket assembly for the jack, including the screws. So i bought a bracket and jack at the York Show a couple years ago, come to fit the jack in the bracket this week, but find that the...

Roll Bar - Seat Belt Threads? - Postal

So my 84 Postal has some kind of inserts in the roll bar where the seat belt mounts should go, except they're not threaded. I believe they just need to be tapped 7/16-20 - can anyone confirm? Bolts are another matter - i'll probably use Ferry Cap Screws with some sleeves(to account...

    Torque Convertor Removal

I'm not going to explain why i had to do this :banghead:, just how. Suffice to say i needed to swap out a torque convertor and didn't want to pull the engine or transfer case/skid plate and too cheap to buy a large jack to fit the transmission jack i borrowed. So made my own transmission...

    Dana 300 - Short Output-Driveshaft

My transfer case (Dana300 was shot (splines worn etc) I ended up with an earlier one with the short output shaft, this is about 1" shorter than the later version. Thoughts on using the stock driveshaft - which is now 1" too short? It is probably at the upper end of the length as installed with...

    Rear Quarter Panels

Can't see anything recent, so.... Looks like i need a pair of rear quarter panel repair patches for my Postal, which has (too) extensive rot adjacent to the wheelhouse and floor corner panels. Am i correct in thinking that only MD Juan makes these, there seems to be a fair variety of prices though.
