    Current Scrambler pics

Thanks! Yes, we added that into the design to accommodate 50' of trailer parking and other storage. It's nice since that's on the North side of my building so whatever I put under it won't see any sunlight except on the ends. So, great for longevity of trailer tires, etc. Only thing it's...

Outstanding! Looking forward to seeing you again and very happy y'all will be joining us. We'll be heading out late in the week prior, aiming for Memphis and then I-40 route all the way to New Mexico where we'll turn right before Albuquerque and head up through Taos and Chama, NM then into...

    Current Scrambler pics

It is indeed! I absolutely love it. The shop, that company, and their product. It’s 2,220 sq ft and we got it pretty well dried in late last year. Huge expensive garage doors are next, then spray foam, then electrical, then…

Tucked away in my new shop so my son and I can work on his XJ in the house garage where all my tools are.

2026 SOA Nationals - Event Announcement

That video you posted Mike of Black Bear with the Toyota guys....I'm not sure if that helped my confidence or hurt it. I have certainly improved in my tolerance for sketchy, off-camber and exposed spots but in my mind I keep telling myself how the camera never does things justice for how they...

    RIP James Lupo/jimschopshop

Not much I can say that hasn't already been said in this thread. Lupo was something else, what a great guy and those of us that knew him knew it for sure. What a shock, I too am still processing it. Call friends, go to the event or the ride, check in on 'em for no reason.... you just never...

    Scrambler Owners Association - 2023 National Scramble - Mason, TX - June 5, 6 & 7

We're gonna be in a cabin in the park, finding out how this shipping container shower facility works out. Might be interesting. We'll hit the road from Huntsville, AL in the Scrambler this Friday, stop somewhere around Monroe, LA Friday night, then hopefully make it to the park late Saturday...

    Scrambler Owners Association - 2023 National Scramble - Mason, TX - June 5, 6 & 7

I'm looking at lodging options. Looks like the park has a few small cabins and RV hookups. Is that it? Anything nearby y'all would recommend? What do the bathrooms look like? Decent showers? That bathroom question is for my MUCH better half. ;)

Iron mountain resort in north Ga mountains

Don't get too excited, those 150 miles are predominantly SxS "trails" and they do not yet have very many full-size "Jeep trails". But, it's good to have another park in the region, certainly closer to the "State of Atlanta" population. Before this, AOP and Beasley Knob were the closest.

    Great smoky mountains Jeep invasion

This was a record year this year. Numbers through the gates: 4,750 Thursday 9,750 Friday 14,250 Saturday Total 28,750 people Approximate 12,777 Jeeps There was quite the mix. I'm no fan of the bolt-on, never wheel JKs and JLs but the classics there satisfied my enthusiasm for the event. The...

Pitman arm and tie rod making contact

John, here's a resurrection of a real old thread. I've just gone through some tidying up of my system and wondered if you ever got this sorted out. I'm running that same MORE bracket now for a PSC gearbox (moved it forward 1.25") and I'm running a stock (flat) CJ Pitman arm and as far as I can...

Adding a third bow to a Scrambler Bestop Supertop

I wonder how much you could cut out of those bows to drop it down before it starts getting saggy. Only so much material in it. An additional bow would take out some of the slack of course but there's gotta be a limit in there.

Adding a third bow to a Scrambler Bestop Supertop

There's been a lot of discussion on this of late over on F/B. Lemme know if any of y'all have any questions aside from the usual "where can I find a used bow" question. Can't help you *much* there.

    Odyssey battery sale

Nice! These are great batteries. Guys I know in Ultra4 racing are very happy with them. Optima has declined in quality over the last few years based on what I'm seeing in the industry. That code knocked of about $60 on the one I'm looking at (34-PC1500T) and free shipping. Not too bad...
