Need help; found a hard top but wondering the best way to fasten the front to the windshield?

You will need to fabricate a joint plate - i don't see it in the parts manual - mine has a bead along the joint - but i don't think that's a must. There are 10-24 screws each side there should be rivnuts in the screen and top

Mine and, I believe, all of these tops used sheet metal screws to attach the front strip to the windshield frame. The rivnuts and machine screws are a good modification. The sheet metal screw holes wallow out over time.

I opted to use latches to make removal and install much quicker. The latches are held onto the top and the windshield by rivets. You can see the latches in the pic of the top. The rear did not need the little pieces of the latch as I could just have the latch grab the lip of the bulkhead.
