didn't have enough projects, so I decided to give myself another one to keep me busy. So this one was bought out of Indiana on a road trip that covered 2200 miles and 30 hours of driving. No, I did stop for a nap of about 4 hours. Ohio has a lot of troopers on the highways. Hows a guy suppose to make time with a Trooper at every mile marker. Left thursday morning, got back at around 1700 on Friday. Its originally out of California, but was a project (like so many) that the PO ran out of time, money and patience with. No rust on this thing at all. even the hat channels have paint on them still. But the T14 is lunch. The TC leaks a little and 373 gears. So here is the plan, run tis one until the 66 Tux is done and maybe keep or sell, but in the mean time, its getting a RC 2 1/2 inch lift kit, electronic dizzy, new headers, cuz these over the fender ones are toast and I just happen to have a ceramic coated set on the shelf. I ordered a Waldons complete system but they told me after I bought it, thats 6-8 weeks away. Damn it. I have a new set of 33/1050-15 KM3's and I'm bringing a set or white spokers to get blasted today. I also have a set of flanged 44 rears and 30 fronts with disc. But that is not going to happen this year, maybe next. I know 373 gears and 33 inch tires are not optimal, but I only want to drive this on dirt roads and asphault for this year. I have gears for the 30 and 44 from 427 to 488's, so I'll build a set of axles over the winter, in be tween the 66 build down times. Dauntless runs pretty good and it already has an 11 inch brake update. Stops on a dime. Seats are already out and I'm debating on taking out that roll cage/shower curtain thingy.

Update. Frame has been blasted, painted, Dana 30 up front complete rebuild including calipers, rotors, pads, lines. New SS brake lines, master, rear shoes. Rear flanged 44 rebuilt, R and P, bearings, seals. New 2 1/2 Rancho military wrap. Shocks. Motor was recently built so I just took her apart, cleaned her up and resealed it. Intake was removed and boiled out. New water pump and electronics distributer. New Waldons exhaust system and nice stock exhaust manifolds with heat riser. Tie rod flip with cross over steering on rebuilt Ross V6 box. It's heading into the new trailer now that the brakes are all bled out. Before it goes in, I'm mounting the new steel wheels and KO2's in 30x9.50-15 . Then to get busy with painting the tub and electrical, so I can sell it.

So the reason for all of this is, when I removed the stock spring to install the 2 1/2 springs, I found the spring brackets on the frame had cracks around them to the point that only the weight of the jeep were keeping the springs on. So off came the tub and now after boxing both rear and front frame rails, well it's history now. Here we are.

Putting on a few other parts before it rolls out into the trailer. Carb rebuilt and installed yesterday. Fuel pump and lines are last today.

I'm just not sure when it's getting finished. Plan is to be permanently moved into my parents house by end of October and maybe get the new wiring harness in and finish it up before end of year. But this move is killing me and cleaning up years of jeep hoarding isn't freaking helping things.

"But this move is killing me and cleaning up years of jeep hoarding isn't freaking helping things."
I laughed out loud at that. I've done exactly the same thing. And to top it off, I had a friend who was moving and asked me to come get my Jeep. I forgot I had it there. Too many Jeeps back then. I've definitely downsized.

I did just the opposite, I had to call a friend to come get two of his out of here. I felt really bad because I have been asking him for over a year and finally had to push a little harder to have him come. I knew he was also running out of room. I'm still not finished with the barn. On my forth call to the scrapper and have a 30 yard roll off out front. No Jeep items are being injured or hurt in this move. But a lot of associated crap is. Saving all the good stuff, well maybe not all, there I go again, I need help !

I am down from 13 about 18 months ago. Down to five right now and three of those are in certain phases of restoration. All three have been stripped down to bare metal and only the 46 is not rolling now. Lesson learned.........don't take more then one apart at a time, because you never know what curve ball life will throw at you.

Painted the tub on Tuesday and raptor lined last night.
