Good looking work, there is something about the body lines of a scrambled with half doors and no roll bar that I just love. Gives it the classic jeepster look. You have to have the bar/cage but it sure looks good.
 
Got it back together and fired it up. I looked at that silly cam 5 or 6 diffrent times when i was puttin it together and could have bet my life that it was right, guess what???? It was one eighty out and I tried to crank that thing for twenty mins because i swore it was right. Well at least it was oiled good before it fired off.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I will get the exhaust tied back in tommorow and see if I can do a video since I just figure out the pics, maybe the viedo clips post the same way.
 
Got some pics with a real camera today lets see if they look better, I have got the front drive shaft in , rebuilt the heater box with a new heater core and a bigger blower motor got it all hooked up and warm, put the top and bulk head back on for the winter.

Still will need a newer style roll bar if any has has one.

Its got a little dirt on the side, I took it to the deer lease just before I put the front drive shaft in and I only rolled through a few hard bottom holes, I just dont want to muddy it all up since its so clean under there.
 
She has run fine the last few months except for a lifter started ticking, dang napa parts. Anybody have a suggestion for an aftermarket cam and lifter set for a four two. And maybe a link to it..

When it warms enough to yake the top off i will get back to work on it.

I've been away for awhile and missed this entire thread...but wow! You did a great job! You certainly seem to have a talent working with that sheet metal. I am impressed.
 
Well that ticking lifter turned out to be a lobe goin flat on the cam, guess thats what you get for savin a dime and reusing the cam, i have reused cams alot in the past and never had this happen before. I installed new lifters when i put it together and just one was blown out. The bottom of the lifter was beat out like a bowl.
 
4 BT going in

Well it went from in the bread van to out of the bread van in about 2 hours today. Its also white now, just some cheap paint to help out on the body work.

Well the last part i needed arrived today to start putting it in.

nv forty five hundrend with a clocking ring and the 5 quarts of liquid gold already in it.:headbang::headbang:

I got the gasser out and pulled the fenders and core support off and got the clutch in and the trans bolted up so its ready to start doin the fab work.

Well its sitting on motor mounts, I started the crossmember and darn customers kept coming in trying to give me money in exchange for work on there cars. Cant get much done when you have to stop every thirty mins but at least i can work on it for most of the day.
