Hey, whats wrong with owning two Scramblers. :)

It gets reeeeeeeally expensive.

But, as a good friend put it, "The cost of cool ain't cheap".

I'm going to be real cool then. I'll be taking all my body parts to the painter Saturday except for the Tub. Speaking of body parts, anyone wanna buy a kidney. lol

Here's a picture of the new carpet.
I'm also going to design my Center Console to house my set of FN Herstal 5.7x28's. That's a total of 190 rounds.
I'm too old to fight and too fat to run.

Nice personal defense weapon.
Semi auto or full ?

Great build & looking forward to console design.

Yea, It don't get much better for self defense.:) I also have some pretty impressive offense weapons too. And some I don't show.
Also thought some might like to see the #17 SCI Elk in the world that scored 498 5/8.

This place is legit!!!

Thanks Tommy, I'm glad you came by to verify that I really do exist. Merry Christmas to you and all my Scrambler friends.
I talked to my painter today and it looks like I'll get the Scrambler back about the middle of January.

Who EVER thought you didn't exist ?? cheers:

(I just wouldn't knock on your door without an invite) :rotfl:

Everyone's welcome any time after 10:00 am. Remember, I'm retired. :)

Nice hardware! I'm interested in seeing what you come up with as a console, been working on that mentally myself.

The PS90 is less than 26 inches long and I'm thinking a simple plywood console padded and vinyl covered to match the interior. The PS90 with three 50 round mags serves a purpose but the handgun with two 20 rounds mags is one of the finest I have ever handled. It's so bad that the Kevlar piercing ammo is no longer available to civilians. They both shot the same ammo and they both will cause a lot of Scrambling.
Someone once asked me what was I so afraid of, I responded "Not A damned thing".

The 5.7 is a great round, you can't go wrong with that!

I have a CCW in Arizona and rarely if ever leave home without my Kimber. For long rides or tooling around in the desert I installed a simple ballistic nylon holster to the underside of the steering column. Simple, cheap, effective! I use an overhead rack from the windshield to the rollbar for the AR's but only when I am out shooting.

By the way, thanks for posting a pic of your collection, I showed it to my wife to prove that there are a few people out there that have more guns than I do!! :bacon:

Wow... Being pre-occupied in the hospital for a few days and then a few days adjusting at home with the little man I missed these two posts! Very very nice bull!! I love the shape of that rack! And I'm digging your armory and plans to accessorize your 8 for those SHTF situations! Keep up the great work!

Here's what my current console looks like. Built it out of a couple of small Winchester lock boxes.

From the outside-

Cover hinged up, reveals...

And inside- the truck gun. A Sig P6 built the same month/year as my Scrambler.
Mounted a paddle holster to the inside. Enough room for ammo, knife, etc.
There's a LED light strip too. But I really want more room with easier access.

Thats what I have in mind but It needs to hold the 26 inch PS90. I also plan on installing keyless entry on the CJ and I should be able to adapt a solenoid or servo of some type for locking device. Or maybe even a finger print reader.

Man, this thread is exhausting... I'm beginning my Scrambler project now. TDK frame is here, 5.3 is built. Just got the motor mounts and crossmember from Daves Customs Unlimited and Tarheel 4x4 is building a 60.

Tub is striped-n-flipped and I'll be replacing all the bad juju underneath with new steel
