1984 SL Nordic green

Can't believe that mighty Jeep used the wimpy Wal Mart Goodyear street tires on late CJ's !

My SJ Cherokee Laredo has them and looking forward to 2" lift and some BFG A/T

What tires ? Show us a pick of what you swapped off?

He let me borrow the rear bumper/end caps, since I needed a new one :eek::crazy::smokin:

So I've started rehydrating the paint and it's responding very well. Here's a few quick pics. All work done by hand. No buffing machine.

Those "walmart" tires look good and are what are supposed be there. Stock is stock. Lifted and modified is another thing. Crazy RM :d

Nice work, I knew the white stuff would come off.

Looks super .... even with the Wal-Mart tires :0

No holes for fender flares... I like it on this model. Looks clean. On lighter colors I like to see the flares on.

Really nice looking Jeep.

Really nice looking Jeep.

Holes are there for the flares, just tough to see! This is absolutely one of my favorite Scramblers!

Paint is looking great!

Keep the pics coming - the more the better!

Thanks for the compliments. The Jeep is really coming along great. The paint cleaned up much better than I expected. The hood still needs some work.

The Scrambler has fender flares I just have not put them back on yet.

I've started to reassemble. But didn't take any pictures other than one inside of the interior

I also found this small piece of paper in the glove box today. I have no idea what it is. Can anyone chime in on what it might be? The "jeep number" does not correlate with any numbers on the window sticker or anywhere else on the jeep that I know of.

I'm curious if this jeep was a special order and this may have possibly been the special order number?? The date on the piece of paper and the window sticker are the same month and year so I definitely think it is for this jeep.
Not sure about the weight thing.

I also went by Walmart but they had no NOS parts available. I guess they sold out

Were the floor mats there or did u put them there ? Does the window sticker say it have them - I think they were around a $19 dollar option :)

These are the two chemicals I used so far. The spray of course is for the interior and the polish the exterior. All I did was apply the polished to a rag and wipe it on and wipe it off by hand. It was very easy but did take some time.

I May take it further in the future with a buffer but for now I was just trying to bring back the original paint which it did a great job.

The interior spray did an awesome job too. I wish I would've taken a picture of the dash pad before and after I put the chemical on it. It was almost white faded from the sun. Here are the seats after I wiped them down.

I'm just going to preserve this jeep in the condition that I received it in.
If I were to do a full restoration repaint etc. then I would change out things like a cracked dash pad for one without cracks, etc. but how I received it for the most part is how it's staying. For now anyway...
I will be installing original wood rails that are in better condition back on the Scrambler.

That label is for the factory air conditioning charge.
