Well it’s been 8 years and 10 days since I got the tub back from the painter.
The time has come for a real update...
I mounted the tailgate yesterday and the rush came back.
But then after looking for two tailgate hinges for an hour and a half I wanted to roll it outside for the scrappers to take. Then I found them so game on! I also found a lot of other cool stuff in that time that I forgot I had.

Why are the hinges upside down? ha! just kidding... looks amazing

for the bolt heads, did you have them painted when the tub was done? I have often thought of how others do this... touch up after or paint before.

Yeah I thought about putting the hinges on backwards for my first picture of putting it back together and wait for the responses, LOL
I had the bolts painted. I ran a tap in a tailgate holes to get the paint out and did the bolts threads also. Went in perfect. I was gentle on tightening. I barely chipped one when adjusting the gap for the tailgate.
