258 to TH400 to quadra-trac to AMC 20

Quadratrac uses an offset rear. It might work but would be better off with the offset. Since you appear to have this in an ‘81, it’s narrow track, you could swap in a Quadratrac CJ rear.
 
I'm sorry what do you mean Quadratrac CJ rear? I don't believe CJs had the quadratrac, it was a FSJ thing which is why I wanted to ask before I get to far in to the update.
 
I've got a 79 CJ-7 with the Quadratrac set-up parts car and an extra Quadratrac rear end if anyone is interested. It came in some narrow-trac CJs.
