Added a new Scrambler to the family

Thanks for the kind words guys. I’ll try to get some good interior pictures today and post up. My only plan so far is to install factory white spoke wheels and caps, and a tilt column. Maybe a Howell fuel injection set up (depending how she does at the smog shop).

I am thinking about going with the Holley Sniper EFI for BBD carbs on a jeep with the 258 in it. But, I am not sure that would work for you in Cali as they are not CARB certified.

You’re right, The holly sniper is a no go here in California. My other two scramblers have the Mopar fuel injection system, and I love it. Unfortunately that’s discontinued. I could piece the fuel injection together, and go get inspected by a referee, but that is a huge PITA. It looks like Howell is my easiest option. Currently the jeep is completely stock, and it has passed smog with no issues. I’ll try that first.
Part of me would like to keep the engine completely stock as well.

Have you checked the FAST Ez EFI? Not sure if it’s certified. Put one on my 77 Cherokee and love it.

I haven’t heard of that fuel injection system before. But I kind of lucked out. I Purchased a brand new Howell, California legal fuel injection system from a buddy who lost interest in his project. Still in the box and California legal, $800.

Man I love this Scrambler. Is it original paint?

The outside of the jeep has been repainted. Whoever did it, did a really nice job. The interior of the jeep, under the fenders and under the hood are all original paint, and surprisingly in really nice condition.
