Countdown to #25MPH

Starting November 7th, the speed limit on all New York City streets will be 25 MPH, unless otherwise posted. This new speed limit will be enforced by the NYPD and with speed enforcement cameras. By getting New York drivers to slow down, we will prevent crashes, protect New Yorkers from injury and save lives. Lowering the speed limit to 25 MPH is one aspect of the Mayor’s comprehensive Vision Zero Action Plan to eliminate traffic deaths and serious injuries.

If u have ever driven in NYC it's nuts that even more than 25 mph was ever allowed. Enter at your own risk regardless of any new rules !! :NYC=crazypeople:

In other news, beware gridlock and other traffic chaos in the Newark NJ and surrounding areas. Obama is in town today.
 
Great more traffic!!!!! I think I'm going to buy a helicopter soon.. Wonder if there's a forum I can join..lol

Years ago I came up with the idea of getting one of those personal helicopters, the ones you build yourself, so I could fly it to work every day. Not because I want to fly, I just hate traffic. We've got a great big lawn out front, it would be the perfect spot to land one. Alas, I had to settle for a motorcycle.
There is really nothing that would convince me to even visit NYC, let alone live there. I am just not a city type guy.

With all the help here, we may be able to convert your Scrambler to a duel purpose 4x4 / Helicopter. Problem solved! :thumbsup: :wave:

Not a option living over here. I have to many friends that got hit while waiting for the light to change green. The trick is to have a comfortable car with satellite radio and Howard Stern on it.. Then U don't notice the problems.. It takes me a hour to go 20 miles.. Now if we build (heliscram) that would fix the problem..👌

Another option may be possible if you can get Bad Karma to let you borrow his extra Flux Capacitor. (Mike uses his quite often to keep in Connie's good graces.) :wave:

When I lived there (Upper East Side) I thought the City should've used all the bridges to do a "One in - One out" policy like bars. And, of course, hot chicks, nice cars, and if you know the guy in the booth... ;)
 
This is why I dont have a bike in the city.. Just happen 2 minutes ago in front of me. He's stoped at the light and got plowed by a minivan as the driver is texting.

I was back there yesterday. My DD (at home in ATL) is a Land Cruiser. I was in a rental up there... a $*@^ing Tercel. I felt like I was going to get run over. I couldn't imagine riding a motorcycle anywhere near NYC.
 
At least you can drive 25 while sipping on your super duper large soft drinks!
 
There are lots of places I still want to visit but NYC is not on that list.
 
NYC is a GREAT place to visit. Especially between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Rockefeller plaza, Macy's, Central Park, Battery Park, Radio City Music Hall, WTC memorial, fantastic restaurants, Broadway.

If that place doesn't put you in the holiday mood nothing will! Now for living there...no way.
 
Its not that bad people. Its a high paced lifestyle. Just please if your site seeing and pointing up move to the end of the sidewalk. Us nyers will run you down and give you our version of the finger. as we all have to go to work. But I could never leave this place there always something to do.
