Anyone keep their jeep stock?

Was there a beige dash pad. I may just switch everything including the hard top to nutmeg. Might just be easier

No beige dash pads. Never a pad that matches the seats you probably have and the high back later versions that CB is showing

I have low back seats. I was told by the guy I bought it from that all physical parts were original. Just had 3 coats of the toughest Omaha orange paint I've ever seen. It doesn't have the holes in the cab, the seatbelts, or the bungs to support high back seats.

Omaha Orange was 1972-1976, 1980-1983, so that fits time wise with the Jeep.
So, it had Almond interior on an Orange Jeep with lowbacks... pretty interesting color combo.

It was originally Olympic white and the po decided orange was better. It was starting to chip off and show the white.

I'm lost. We are talking orange ? Orange was many different oranges in the 70s and virtually none in the 80s.

My 8 was pretty much original except for the Omaha orange paint the p.o. put on it. Several coats. Over the original Olympic white.

Now I understand. Yours has had orange paint applied to it. I still don't know what CB means when he says Omaha orange on those years tho [emoji41]

He had said the Jeep was a 1981.
You said the tag was Olympic White.
He said it was Omaha Orange.
My 76 is Omaha Orange.
I knew from the past looking it up that it came in other years, so I took a stab and Omaha Orange came in the early 80's as well for Jeep.
Looking up paint reference samples, I see you are right, a ton of Oranges.

duke paint1.jpgduke paint2.jpg

While taking the pics of the vacuum lines I included what color my Duke was painted, Im not sure the name of the color but its kind of a slate blue ...Mine started in the Air Force so I don't know if the engine was painted a different color but my Scrambler is bare bones stock, not the usual military "upgrades"

What color was the iron duke originally? Mine is hugger orange along with the trans. I'm pretty sure that's not how it came.

I believe the iron duke should be the GM engine blue from that era. When I resealed the iron duke in my '82 CJ8, I repainted the engine with the GM blue and it was spot on to the old color. I've still got a little of the paint let in my shop, will get the exact color for you.
