Been a while since we had a Beer thread...

This wasn't that great. It was way too malty IMHO. It's a Saranac product which I never expect great things from but it was 6.98 a six pack on sale so I gave it a try. I'll be giving away 4 more of these to unsuspecting non IPA Drinkers that pass into the garage. So far I am 1 for 1 on those types of people just liking it cause it wasn't a Coors Extra Gold.

A small local brewery (Logboat Brewery) has partnered with our fire department union (IAFF Local 1055) and made a special batch of Kolsh beer. We have brewed it twice now with excellent results and it has sold out within two hours. Once the brewery recoups their brewing costs they split profits with us. They are hoping to make it one of their regular offerings but they need to expand their operation before they can do that. The last time we brewed it was in January and we held an event called the "Brotherhood Bash". I and another firefighter made a custom tap handle out of a vintage brass smooth bore nozzle and a hand carved Maltese Cross on top.

That is more than cool. I hope that they make tons and it always sells out.

I also had 2 cans of PBR tonight... but they 24oz cans. Also, they were on sale for 1.29 each.

Had a stout tonight to celebrate putting the top on and the shifter and tunnel cover. Any excuse I guess.

Its got a nice coffee bite to it. 10.5%abv. I would get it again. I got it off the pick six rack at my new favorite local beer place. I will have to take a picture of their walk in craft beer cooler.

Cool. Thanks. I will look for it.

Last one for me for the night is a local beer, Dark Horse, Plead the 5th Imperial Stout. 11% abv and a little smoother than the ten fidy.
