Didn't get as far as I'd hoped last night, ordered the wrong fitting for the input to the regulator and want to have that on before I cut hose for it.
I did modify the stainless line that I plan to use for the return. Trying to keep the rail as cool as possible and going in the rear fitting with the supply, then out through the stainless line to the regulator and back to the tank.
I cut the 90° bend off the line and put a 3/8" compression-to AN-6 fitting on it, then going to a 90° AN swivel, this allows me to have free rein on the direction of the 90 and I think I have it positioned where it will work between the rail and throttle body and clear the throttle cable bracket. There's an unused M6x1.0 threaded hole in the intake almost directly under the stainless line in this spot and I ordered some all-thread studs, unions and button head screws to make a standoff that will have a clamp on top to go around the line and the DEI heat shield to support this end nicely. You can see a socket head screw in the hole I'm talking about in the overall pic. Heat shield will work fine, just need to trim off about 6" and plan to heat shrink it to the end near the fuel rail to keep things looking neat.
Got the return line done from the regulator to the tank, left some extra line on it to cut/pull/splice the line should anyting ever happen along the rail, just need to get a clamp on it.
Got some AN-8 line "spacers" off Amazon (for some reason the AN-6 line clamp dimensions all seemed way too small and would really crush the line), and it fits great. Planning to drill them through and put longer bolts into them to go through to the frame rail instead of the PITA stainless cushion clamps I have there now. May end up getting a few more of them now that I know they work well to do some other mounting (firewall above valve cover and I have an idea for where the fuel lines pass over the rear shock mount)
Rest of the fittings come today, out of town this weekend and have to mow tonight... cooler weather, grass now thinks it's hay or something.
