You were close...as you all know the engine hood is a great place to get warm in cold whether, the young soldiers are using it at night training. The "smart" once are going to sleep on it (yes, with the engine running). sometimes its become crowded and three share same hood at once!

So, my hood was a sleep bed once - it was hard to fix it, so I decided to add some support as it should be in advance. Today you actually can stand on it!

It is important to understand that I did not chopped the top - to do it and to show it to you... OMG. The top part is connected with screws to the sides panel and the windshield frame. Once I decided to get more space in my Jeep (around 2 inch) I built a support frame to hold the top in place - using the original seal and screws.

That is a wonderful build! I like the fact that you can still get these to restore and with the World Cab Top, even better. I understand that there are vehicles that are available over there where they're not here. Do you see any CJ-10's, the pick up, where you are?

I have been to Israel twice. Had a lot of fun trying to identify what some of the vehicles are.

My favoriate place to visit is Masada. A holy place. One of the most special places on earth.
 
Nice work! and for someone who didn't know how to weld you learned quickly and did a great job on the whole project. It's interesting to see different variants of Jeeps line up elsewhere in the world. I think the Wrangler/CJ-8 would have done well over here but the closest thing Jeep came up with was the LJ.

Some updates...

1. OME leaf springs: I ordered another leaf to support the rear springs - the result are great and the springs flex very well. YAAAA.
2. I started to build my half doors.
3. I'm going for electric fan (Ford Contour dual fan) with top of the line controller. dixell xr20c. http://www.dixell.co.il/product/XR20CX/_l1/711
4. I'm going for 4.0L head swap with FI.

* Could you refer me to a good source to buy a complete 4.0L engine wiring harness (91-95 YJ, XJ or ZJ) with computer? Thanks!!!!

I will give free hummus to the one who can recognize which cars is in pictures 3 and 4.

Looks like a Willys wagon to me.

Try Hesco. http://www.hesco.us for the harness and computer. They designed the Mopar kit for the MPI conversion and have all kinds of parts for 4.0 or 4.0 head swaps. Like all the parts needed. Great support too.

Got a message out to a local guy to me that I think takes XJ harnesses and removes all unneccesary stuff for a 4.0 head conversion. I will let you know when he gets back to me.

Soft sides look great. Did you make them removeable or so they roll up next to the top? I think your top has the best features of both the hard and soft tops. Maybe you will start a new trend!

The all fabric can be removed easily but I do not plan do it... The sides and back can be open by the zippers and then roll in to the top-sides of the hard top.
