Almost, still have to add the two kickers off the side. Then pull it back off and paint. Then maybe I can get back to the scrambler.
Looking good! The deer don't have a chance with that one.

Not much.....but stripped the 8” chrome Laredo wheels for the Jeep this afternoon in the midst of detailing a Cherokee I’m getting ready to sell.

Wheels look great. Just finished the same for my CJ7 Renegade frame-off.

Havent made any progress. Have been talking with my buddy about taking a trip to south Texas to ride a few MX tracks this fall. So I have a deadline now for the Jeep, would like to take it and camp one night on the beach. So I went ahead and bought a rooftop tent. Hopefully that will inspire me to get it done! Found it somewhat local to me new in the box, didn’t have to pay retail......I just couldn’t bring myself to give that much for one.

No progress, have just been planning everything out. Hurt my back a couple of weeks ago at work so haven’t felt like messing with anything.

Plan is to build the tent rack so that it will serve as a roll cage as well. Going to make it bolt in. Plan is to buy two of the rock hard fabrication collars to tie to the front then in the rear will make a plate that ties into the rollbar mount. The tent is setup for 1.5” or smaller to mount to, won’t be bad to make it work for the 1.75” DOM that I have left over.

Also have been day dreaming about a shower. Thinking about a section of 4” PVC pipe that I can paint black to draw heat. Set it up with a valve stem so I can pressurize it. I guess a sub par shower will be better than no shower at all....lol

Found some motivation thisafternoon after being released by the Dr. to go back to work. Started to finish up all the loose ends. Bolted some parts on it and started laying out the engine harness.

Not sure how I feel about the springs, might swap them out for a set of stock yj springs.....feel like it sits too high currently. Guess I will wait till I get the 35’s mounted and go from there.

Also had this bumper laying around, torn between using it or a stock bumper that’s had the ends trimmed off it.

That winch looks perfect, love 8274s. I originally made a stock width front bumper. I traded bumpers with a friend when I got my winch. Its only about 4" wider than the frame rails overall. Took some getting used to, but I like it now. That being said, I like the bumper in the 2nd picture with the hoop and tapered ends.

Threw a battery in my the white scrambler in the shed and hauled the extra parts from a couple of projects earlier this year out to where I keep my stash. Grabbed the set of 35’s I’ve had sets aside and warn bumper. Ran by the tire shop thisafternoon and had them mounted on the 8” Laredo wheels I stripped a couple of weeks ago.

So now the Jeep is setting on the brand newish 35’s with a rubicon express spring over 1” lift spring. I want to put 37’s on it with the gear ratio it has......but for now I think I’ll throw the stock de-arched yj springs I have to get it lower.

I think you are right, I have a bent up Laredo bumper that I was going to trim to the same shape but I think I can live with this bumper. When I initially held it up there with no winch it looked goofy, but now with the winch as filler it’s growing on me.

Spent the better part of thismorning getting the yj springs ready. The frame they came off of was cruuusssttty. Had to cut the bolts off inside the hangers as the bolts were seized. Torch was empty so got creative and drilled out the majority of the bushing to get the sleeve and bolt out then air hammered the remaining portion out bushing out......makes me wish I just bought new, lol! Dropped it about 2”, looks about right to me.

Finally got the rest of the springs on. Much better. Also dropped one of my Laredo front seats off at the upholstery shop to have a patch done. Anxious to see the finished product.

Chipping away at wiring. Got the heater box with blazer blower motor installed. Wife has now decided to go on the Mx/camping trip. So going to go with a full length exterior rack for the time being so I can run the full soft top for the kids in the back.

Lots of loose ends to wrap up. Twisted a few wires together to go for a test fire. After having battery and starter issues and getting those straightened out it busted right off. Now need to clean up the Jeep harness and finalize engine compartment wiring.

My borgeson steering shaft showed up too, won a $50 off certificate at the SOA raffle.

Had to rig up the passenger side seat on the driver side last night so my guy (dad, haha) that was dropping it off had something to set on. He wasn’t keen on a 5 gallon bucket for some reason. Anyways got a phone call thismorning that the driver seat was done. Picked it up, very pleased with the results. He replaced a few panels and fixed the foam. Apparently I deleted my before picture.

Finally was able to get it out, just in the Knick of time. My 6 year old wanted me to pick him up in it from school today. It might’ve been missing several parts, but I made it! He was happy!
