Howdy
New here but not new to the 8.
Bought in 1994, built and utilized until 2010 then parked.
Refreshed this summer, initial test drive was up to 12,000 'elv.
Should be fixing or at least figuring out why the Dana 300 puked it's guts out on the trip back from Sandblast in August... but instead I'm building a cold air intake.
Just to get it dirty again! Did a quick weekend trip in the Lassen National Forest about an hour from my house.
The weather turned cold and as I was getting to the area I wanted to camp, it started snowing at 6,000 feet. Got down to 23 degrees. The 12V electric blanket kept me nice and toasty.
The next morning was perfect!
It quickly warmed up and melted most of the new snow by Noon.
Was able to message my wife and a few other Jeep friends using my Garmin InReach. Kept it outside with a view of the sky and connected to it using Bluetooth from my phone in my tent.
Turned over 13K miles since getting it back on the road!
