Factory Photo's Thread

Here's another PG13 cartoon sign.
From Desert Rat, I've been buying stuff from them since early 80's.

Did I mention I like Red Jeeps ?

Does anyone have a copy of the Jeep Scrambler ad from Playboy. It's why I bought mine.;)

Hey I was reading the ads, not looking at the pictures.:rotfl:

I went with my boss at the time to pick up his Scrambler from the dealership. When we got there we found out that it was on that Playboy shoot and wouldn't be available for two more days. He said fine and inquired as to where the shoot was taking place and they wouldn't give it up. He did however get signed copies of pics from the shoot. I don't think he washed that rig for a year!

That picture appears to be Oahu. I was stationed out there in Kaneohe Bay for 6 years and when we flew you could see a couple old strips from WWII that are no longer used. One is on the way up to the North Shore just east of Turtle Bay resort, and was rumored to be an old B-25 strip. I believe that is where this picture was taken, looks very similar.

Somehow I missed your reply. Thanks for the information- it's great to know the history behind the picture.

My Google-fu must be weak. No photos to be found. So how many others headed over to google and did a "Playboy Scrambler" search?

They used CJs a few times in centerfold shoots in the 80s and 90s if memory serves me right. I dont recall an 8. I'll try to find them and kid-friendly-ize them before i post.

then send the adult version to my email... ;)

There should definitely be an adult version posted somewhere in addition to emails. It's got historical significance afterall.

Ahhh....Google-Fu strong today!

Do a search for "Lisa Seiffert". Nice Orange CJ7...

You're welcome!

I think this thread has taken a different turn. Maybe we should start a "Jeep Girls" thread.

Well, for history's sake:

This is the Playboy Playmate of the Year 1996 and she was given a new Wrangler TJ (1997 was the first year of the TJ).

1968 Playmate of the Year was given a specially painted pink AMX.

I thought I did a damn fine job of keeping out all of the headlights, bumpers, fenders, tailpipes, body panels and various assorted naughty bits out of my pics. ;)

Curious to see documentation of the optional and rare "AMC Tailwind Sail" that allowed the 4-cyl Scrambler to reach 22/27 MPG.

:rotfl: I amuse me.
