Fire extinguisher location/bracket??

How do you guys attach fire extinguishers to your roll bar? On my roll bar (not the main hoop, but one of the two angled parts going down to the bed) has two holes through it that look like they are from the factory. Is this where an extinguisher is supposed to go?
 
Those holes are probably for a roll bar mounted spare tire carrier
 
Is there a certain type I should get for my Jeep. Or will just any Extinguisher do?

Personally, I have an older Halon unit. It leaves no residue after use. I actually was able to “live test” one years ago at an accident and it worked amazing. It can also kill you as the fumes are toxic. I actually don’t think Halon Is produced anymore. It was great on gas and electrical fires. There are alternative extinguishers sold at Summit and like stores. They use Halotron which supposedly is safer. They are rated BC which is liquids and electrical.
An over the counte ABC extinguisher might be your best bet, as it is rated for solids (wood, paper, plastic…) as well as liquids and electrical. Just remember that an ABC extinguisher will make a powdery mess everywhere when it is discharged.

Halon is not technically toxic, but it removes all oxygen from the air..... which makes living difficult. That's also why it's so great at putting out fires.

Halon's still widely used in aircraft because it's extremely effective. It obviously works best in closed spaces like cargo holds, engine nacelles and electronic compartments.

It depletes the ozone is the main reason it's no longer widely available.

I bought two of these, hope I never have to use them. I watched a youtube video of a U4 team at KOH had a fuel line come loose during their test/prep and set fire to the engine compartment. They used regular fire extinguishers to get it out. It wasn't even 5-6 hours later everything was starting to corrode, wires, metal etc. They were hosing it of with a pressure washer, but it still seemed like it was eating stuff. That's what made me get this other type. So if a fire did happen I'm not having to deal with corrosion on top of the fire damage, pus it reads like its less toxic. You can't refill it like a regular extinguisher though and its somewhat pricey.
