SO MUCH STUPID engineering, every stupid second of the day, made my head hurt! It got so bad, I was solving design problems in my sleep...Yes, its all pretty close. I think mine was less engineering and more trial and error but I love it. I fixed some rattles (forgot to tighten all the 12v battery bracket bolts and loose rear benches due to crushed foot rubber on the rear seats) and have been driving it a lot. Getting cold here so into the garage soon. Goal is to get the rear battery box in over the winter and hopefully get 80-90 mile range afterwards (~2mile/KWH). Not bad for a home build and a jeep profile akin to a mobile air brake.
Yes, all those rattles and creaks and squeaks, all previously hidden away from your ears by the never ending engine bay racket (and of course, the ever present vacuum leak noise you just can't put your finger on...). Sorry, I must have skipped over that part of your build, what is your battery configuration now? Do you have a rear battery box design yet?
I'm 3 module up front, one modules sitting right above the motor that is the bottom of the Tech Box and 3 in the 'tank' for a total of 7 Tesla battery modules - 37.4kWh Pack.
I'll say it also - I LOVE DRIVING MY CJ now, more then I have any of my CJ's or Wranglers - by far!
And, as for winter, I'm in SoCal, I say: Bring on the winter, Sweetheart, go fetch my cardigan, it's gettin' down right cool out!
