Hagerty updated value

Looked back at my denial email
It states extreme oversized tires and radical suspension changes 😂😂😂
And this is the key, you told them about those in advance.

Lots of people think that they will be covered in a modified scrambler when the insurance company thinks it’s a stocker.

Just because they write the policy does NOT mean you get covered in a claim if you didn’t disclose modifications.

Hagerty actually came and appraised it and put the value on it
What you did to the Olds is, IMO, very different than the Scrambler and I bet they’d agree that’s the reasoning.

Hagerty insures all my non-daily drivers. It's generally been great and very reasonable cost. I got the same e-mail for some of mine. When I first listed a very low mileage Laredo CJ7 and my restored 1985 Scrambler Laredo, they made me get appraisals to support my desired value. Funny, I never received these e-mails or notes ever before. Wondering why? My belief is that Hagerty is definitely looking to aggressively increase revenue because they just went public after being private and family owned for a long-time. Just my opinion though, and I probably do need to increase my stated values.

I think they must be changing their business model. I just did an online request quote for mine and they rejected it...

Update- I had it at 15K miles per year. Changed to 6K and got a quote... A little pricey, but need to do it since having Ol Blue redone if I have a wreck, I want it fixed...

Hagerty went public in the last year or two....lots of things changing internally with employee & perk cuts, etc. Would not be surprised if they are changing eligibility requirements for policies too.
