I looking for some ideas with mounting a PSC single ram on my dana 30.
Any information and pictures would be appreciated.
 
What size tires are you running on a dana 30 that would require ram assist? Before I did my swap, I had the PSC big box and ran 35's with no steering issues.
 
I'm running 35s and Detroit Locker, but the front end binds up when locked up on twisted trails.
 
Ram assist with a dana 30 and detroit is a recipe for snapped axles. If I were you, i'd dump the detroit and go to a selectable locker.
 
IMHO…that Dana 30 is on borrowed time. Your results may differ. Good luck.
 
I really appriciate the feed back. I'll run the PSC big box and thier pump without the ram for now.
I have looked into the Eaton Elocker and probably will make the change after the Easter Safari in Moab.
 
That Dana 30 Detroit in Moab will be very hard on those front shafts. If you can run 2 Low most of the time, and only engage the front when needed, those front axles will be much happier. That grip out there is like driving on the street.

I'm running a Dana 30 Ox Locker with 33's, I'm sure the selectable locker helps, and the 44 sized shaft u-joints.

I have been running this set up with Ten Factory Chromoly for years with now problems. Thought the PSC ram would help with steering when she's all locked up.
 
I have a 44 front with an OX locker and a full PSC steering system with hydraulic assist. I ran without the ram for a month or so before building the mount. I really love the ram. It takes any shimmy away. Off-road I had the same issue as you. When locked you could get into a position where you couldn’t turn. The ram will always turn. The only negative with the ram is it can slow your steering down. Found that out when playing in the snow.

Everything on my jeep is custom. I just held the ram up, picked a place that looked to work and started cutting with my bandsaw.
