(For those not aware, I've been the editor in chief at http://www.jpfreek.com since August)

It's been brutal, a complete labor of love, and --as everyone knew when I made the leap-- I had/have a lot to learn, but it's out before my self-imposed deadline of tomorrow. My first issue is up and web store is operational via Shopify.

Folks here will recognize a lot from this issue. And before anyone asks, there's no formal coverage of the Moab SOA National, it's integrated in the trek article from my trip. As you'll see, we were already WAY long on this issue and I would have needed to get more coverage of groups I didn't ride with.

Cool thing is that this has our SEMA coverage when the print books won't have theirs out until early next year :bacon: You can read about it in the month it happened.


Please download the free app if you have an iDevice. It'd be great if you could pass word to any Jeep folks you know too. Anything helps.


Sorry, no android version at the urging of the digital publisher I work with (and I really did try to give him my money to do it, but his experience has proven that android apps are problematic across versions and android folks simply don't download digital pub apps). You can view the magazine in your mobile browser, however. It should work fine there.

Great job! I downloaded the iPhone app and it looks very professional. Love the SEMA product coverage! I still have a lot to read but so far I'm impressed!
 
I downloaded it this past weekend. Have not read it all yet. But it looks good.
 
This past weekend the most current issue was from spring of '13. Now it's truly current :)

Cool thing is that there's a lot of old issues in there to view. You can easily read for days. :smokin:

Nice magazine! Seeing the magazine kind of brought this questions up, as other Jeeps magazine have staff writers and the same content over and over again. Just curious if JPFreek is open to submissions from freelance writers and Jeep enthusiast (like me) for review and potential publication in the magazine. If so, what are the submission requirements/process and what topics are OK?

Great great stuff. I just read up to the moab trip feature on an old iphone while sitting in a travel trailer and no wifi. .. Loaded just fine with the web version and the ap back home with wifi rocks. Ill save the Moab story for when I am home for thanksgiving and not distracted by my own crap. Awesome job BW! Now its back outside.
 
Great magazine! Just read virtually the whole thing cover to cover. Especially liked the Moab road trip journal. How do you have time to work, moderate this website, edit a magazine, road trip, and work on old jeeps? I might need to send in an application...
 
Great Job, was reading about the great journey and see you drove right past Iowa... a few miles north and you would have picked up on last state, LOL.
 
I'd already been through Iowa coming back from Alaska ;) Didn't need it.

I have everything east of Idaho covered all the way to the Atlantic south of Delaware/NJ and north of Arkansas. Only the west, southeast and northeast left.

I'll just have to risk it. That trip will also tick off the eastern provinces in Canada. With the trip back from AK, I've got a great start on them as well :smokin:

I was reading JPFreek before it was cool. (Before BW took the reins) I have to say honestly this issue is the BEST! Looking forward to the next issue.
