Front and rear winches? 1000w aircraft lights at both ends?

The power train is about $35,000.00 from Banks. Its amazing, but the price is pretty insane. I really wanted to try one, but wonder if the much cheaper 3.8 ISF Cummins won't achieve the same thing. The engine is a very small package and weights about the same as an aluminum LS engine, 380-420 lbs. It has very little turbo lag is is available with 240-300hp tunes. The 240 has proven to be more than enough. The 300hp tune is about the same power as a stock LM7 Duramax.

If I'm not mistaken, I saw the green one with the diesel at EJS a couple of weeks ago, and I thought it was stunning.....In fact it was almost as stunning the next day after the guy put it on its roof. Passenger side tweaked, windshield bent to hell....roll cage looks like it was pretty tweaked, but it did its job. The guy was still driving it after it was flopped. I heard it happened at Area BFE, but don't know for sure.

No pics??? :(

First off, I would like to apologize like coming across like a tattle teller....that wasn't my intent, but when I re-read my post, I thought I could have been more tactful. The rig truly is stunning!

I got some pics while it was still pristine, parked at Zax restaurant. That was on Friday 4/3. Saturday afternoon we were heading South on the main drag, and they were heading north. My kid tried to snap a pic, but we noticed it too late as we crossed paths.

When I saw the rig parked at Zax, I thought to myself, "he's got $100k + into that thing." I had no idea it would be closer to $200k! That being said, with shop rates being what they are, and being in the middle of a pay as I can frame up CJ-6 build.....I can picture them having that much money tied up in one of their rigs. Whether or not it's worth it is a different question, and a question that there is no firm answer on. If I was made of money, rest assured I'd probably have one of these and an Icon, and who knows what else.

Yup that was us! We drove the hell out of that thing at EJS. We did a lot of my favorite trails and the performance was stunning. Being a new product for us, I really wanted to make sure the performance was where I wanted it. Wheeling with that diesel and an automatic is amazing. On Saturday, after the We Rock event, I went over to the sand dunes at BTR. I was jumping dunes. On my third pass, I think I must have lifted at the crest. The Jeep landed on the bumper and did an endo. While otherwise, uninjured, I did break my collarbone. The jeep is back at my shop. It needs a new rollbar, hood, and windshield frame. It looks like the roll-bar spread a little which warped the side panel. Being aluminum, I think the best fix is to replace the tub. We should have it back together in 4-6 weeks. I definitely go my "dumb-***" quota for the year. The Jeep faired very well and was driven back to moab. I will send pictures when she is back together. I am thinking of doing a half-cab for the second time around.

I talked to a guy at KOH a couple years ago who had an Aqualu CJ-2A tub as the basis for a rock buggy. He rolled the buggy down one of the Hammers a couple years prior, and pointed out a major dent that they put into the upper half of the right rear fender. He said they just pounded it back out to where it was reasonably smooth again, sanded, and polished. From 5' away you could barely tell there was an issue there, and it wasn't any more-or-less noticeable than where the panels are slightly warped from welding.

Aqualu is also a great company to work with; I'd bet they would be willing to sell you just the panel you need if you wanted to cut it out and weld the new one in.

Speaking for myself, I definitely would not look forward to recreating EVERY SINGLE STUPID HOLE that I had to make in my Aqualu body.

Best news is that the injuries were minor. Especially given the couple of tragedies that happened during the week. In addition, to have a rig back on the road in just a few weeks is impressive, I realize it's "what you do" and that you have a shop at your disposal, but I'm sure you have bills to pay as well. Kudos....wish I had the coin for one. The best part about the trip to EJS for me is the motivation it gives me to work on my projects.

Bring it to the SOA National in June so we can do a close up review and give you some feedback.
