This morning i get up early and figure I'll take the girl to work and pick up my compressor and some jeep parts on the way home. I start her up and the gas gauge is going crazy. Had to think how long ago I put gas in her.no problem. Volt meter light is dead. And my cup holder is full of bolts.. Normal jeep problems.. I drive for a little and feel drag and remember the the hubs are still locked so I get out and unlocked them. Get back in drive some more Then bam. I was like I really hate these new shocks I put in..Every bump I hit on the way was killer and was threatening the shocks and its mother as I drove.. A jk jeep pulls on the side of me and looks and waves.I think to myself He's probly thinking what a nice jeep and all I was thinking I wish I had his suspension. Then I got to work and seen that.. I knew it was going to happen but put it off... at least there no snow or it super cold. But now I have to drive it slow back home. The joys of old jeeps.
 
No lol leaves added over time to level out the trailer.. It broke because it had a small bend in it when she got into a accident a few years ago. I just didn't replace it as it wasn't that bad.. Yes I'm thinking to my self maybe I should start my new build..
 
From the looks of it, the spring was broken for a long time and just finally let go of the last 1/4" that was holding it together-

Correct. Not sure how I missed that as I just grease the driveshaft last week. 😕

i ordered new re hd springs with military wrap today from amazon prime.. but cant really work on her as its going to snow 3-5 inches tomorrow.. :(

I feel your pain. They are saying the same for us. Then 60 on Saturday.
 
I was driving my M38 and had the u shackle snap at the front, managed to limp home but it scared the crap out of me when it hunkered down to one side!
 
Lol it took me a extra hour to get it home. I drove so slowly and even lifted my *** when there was a bump coming up. Lol like that would of helped.. The way it broke it wasn't going to drop unless the axle twisted some how. I had the AAA card in hand just in case it did. ..
 
Glad it didn't happen on the freeway. That would have really hurt.
