Looking for an electrical bulkhead connector for fuel pump...

The TBI conversion on the Wagoneer is kicking my butt. :banghead: I must be getting too old for this... The Vortec in my Scrambler seems like a piece of cake comparatively! The biggest problem is working on my back...there just isn't as much room as under the Scrambler.

Anyways...I am attempting to install an in-tank pump using the stock Jeep sending unit as a basis. I have most of the particulars worked out in my head- I just need a way to get power through the top plate and to the pump. I was wondering if any of you knew of a source for an electrical bulkhead fitting, like on an aftermarket fuel sender. I've searched the internet with no luck. I've considered using nylon washers but I would like to find a more "polished" way of doing it.

Thanks!

I generally use a pair of nylon "washers" with an o-ring groove cut into them to seal against the mount. You can see one side of it in this pic-

Too funny, I'm working this morning on a press release for one of our clients for EXACTLY this product/application.

They should have an off-the-shelf solution for this that's as "polished" as you'd like.

Talk about Jeep Karma...:)

That solution looks perfect, Eric, I bookmarked their website. However, late last night (My wife's out of town), I got the urge to create and dug up a set of nylon bushings. About an hour later, I had my connector. Looks like the one mysunnshine posted. I guess I was just too beat to deal with it when I posted. It's amazing how a beer and some lousy TV can get your creativity recharged!

i ran the wired thru a hole in the upper plate of the sending unit ...then used gas tank epoxy to fill the rest of the hole and seal where the wires go thru

Talk about putting 10 lbs of stuff into a 1 lb bag! I got the fuel module built. Had to make it in 2 pieces to fit through the small hole in the Waggy tank. The pump is on 1 piece, I had to put it in first, then worm in the sender, then connect the feed line, bolt together the bracket, and plug in the harness. Tighten it all down and then it's done! Thankfully the Scrambler will be easier- it's a welded tank so I'm just going to cut a hole and use an OEM fuel module/bucket assy.

Here's some pics of today's torture. Haven't has such a simple project kick my butt in a long time.
