Well I have been in the market for a new digital camera and I have been net surfing
like crazy... And I just ran across the Camera I bought a few years back. I think I
paid like $400-$500 for it... I just found it online For $100.00 free shipping. I mean it
just makes me laugh. How the price on these items just drop down so fast as new
technology comes out. Here is a link to Amazon that shows prices on new Digital camera's
and how cheap they are. I think the cheapest one is just over $40.00. I remember when
you couldn't touch one of these camera's for under $500.00. but then again I remember when
DVD players came out and you couldn't touch one for less then $1,500.00.

the sad part is I barely use my actual camera anymore because of the my Iphone camera...
But I still have the need for a good quality stand alone camera to take pic's.

ps. sorry just a rant. I can could go on with my rant about how these things are everywhere.
I was in CVS and they had a whole section of digital camera stuff, same with my local convenient,
and gas station (its a super store). What happen to Electronic stores?

Yep actually I dont remember where I put my regular digital camera I use the phone for everything. But I do have a canon t3i and the lenses never go down in price.

Yep, the iPhone takes most of my pictures now. I've got a sweet Sony A57 and some nice glass, but it's too bulky to carry...and now that they came out with the A58, mines old news.

Another one that gets me is TV's...seems the old models drop in price like crazy.

Now my guns and Scrambler, on the other hand...:woohoo:

Watch what you say about your guns on the net... big brother is watching!

Well I have to say I'm a bit of a camera snob. Used to do professional Commercial Photography, Nothing like an image from a 4"x5" or 8"x10" negative. I consider my dSLR a point and shoot camera ;) The camera phone, even with a Galaxy S4 I consider it a last ditch device. Quick documentation only.

Had a photography instructor who said you can tell the professionals easy at a showing, they like to "scratch and sniff" the wall photos ;)

Doc, in the late 90's I was a professional photographer too. I shot a lot of 8x 10 transparencies nothing like large format.

Heck...I've already gotten 2 EMails signed by the POTUS regarding gun control...I guess when you sign a petition on the White House website you get attention. I'm sure I'm on the radar big time.
