Matchbox/Hot Wheels Swap?

Wow, a 2912! That's got to be a rare year!! :rotfl:

Couldn't help myself.

Yeah, trying to get a few hours of work in before I head out to plow... the coffee was flowing, but apparently not enough... we have about 8-9 inches and about that much more to fall through the afternoon and night... fun times!

Yeah, the boulevard series is nice... I have a few mopars and they really detail the bubble and engine, hood, etc.

They are like 6 bucks though compared to regular matchboxes which are usually a buck or two.

I'd trade for the Waggy if Dain doesn't want it. I will have to see what I have to trade.

Sure, see what you got... it is pretty cool, I just happened to get an extra one some how.

I think I have at least a hundred of the recent Scramblers, I never saw the Waggy before, that's AWESOME!

It is from this year I believe. I think they come out with 10 or so a year, I don't know the specifics, but they are definitely on the higher end of manufacturer and detail (well for a 6 dollar toy)

because it is the "asking" price... it is worth far less... completed listings and sold listing are about 2/3 of what he is asking.

I would like to get some of these but not for that much. I can understand age having a factor as well as still in package, but is there anything else that makes it worth so much? Color wheels?

Being in the original packaging and in mint shape are usually going to drive up the price.
Stickers on them are good and bad depending on who you talk to.
As for the actual item, some of the colors were more rare than others.
I think there is a matchbox wiki somewhere that details out all that were produced.

I have a couple of the Brown ones and those only ran me like 10 bucks I think, maybe even less.
I have seen that white one go for 18 to 20 bucks quite a few times and that is more the price range, not what they are asking.

My son is 5 and he calls our Scram "his" because one day it will be. I have been looking for Hot Wheels still in the package to put away for him for when he is older. Guess I got sticker shock! Still looking

Be patient and just watch for a couple/few weeks, they always come up for sale and although the prices might be high now, they are only going to go up.
A lot of them are selling for 10-20 dollars now and they were only a buck or less when they were new.
Sometimes you have to buy them in lots to get a better deal, but just sell off the rest of them and make your money back and sometimes they end up being almost free.
