New World Cabs?

I like it, but unfortunately I don't have any cinder blocks in the back of my Scrambler to clamp it to. To bad, because it was looking promising.:)

Yeah, they'll also be a problem for the company if they decide to bring these to market - just think of how much the cinder blocks will add to the shipping charges for each top!

I think it might be cool if you could slip in a shelf or two on the side panel, nothing fancy, just a place to throw some small stuff, or perhaps that is something for the aftermarket after this one goes to market.

You probably could mount one of those seat-back cargo nets on the side panel below the windows, I'lll bet one could be found that's the right width to span the entire window panel.

Here's the results of the first test fitting. I haven't trimmed the front of the roof at the windshield header, so that end of the roof is sitting about 1/2" high, and I haven't trimmed the bottom of the sides where they join the tub. But even without final trimming, the fit is excellent. The hardtop is a little overexposed in the photos, the extreme contrast between the black Jeep and the white top makes the overall photo really hard to capture properly.

why do you have 2 electrical thingys on the tail gate?

why do you have 2 electrical thingys on the tail gate?

I installed an electric lock solenoid in the tailgate because having a switch on the dash is much more convenient than running around back with the key every time you park it and want it locked. The second set of contacts provides power to the solenoid.

Will you add a third for the wiper motor?

As expected, it looks fantastic!

VERY NICE!! smart... glad i dont have a TJ any more, i'd have another project to do because of you!

Since the wiper motor will be in the upper, not the factory tailgate, I'd add contacts between the upper and the hardtop door jamb. I wouldn't use the big Jeep factory contacts, I'd use smaller ones, there are many types available in the hot rod parts market.

You decided the color for it yet? Going with matching black or something to contrast?

Here's a few photos of the "van" version with no side windows. The roof and bottoms of the sides haven't been trimmed yet, nor has the rear door, so forgive the slight fitment issues with them - they'll fit perfectly when trimmed and completed.

Maybe the company would also produce this version, so if people don't like the company's choice of windows, they could get the van version and install whatever type of windows they wanted... ;)

Awesome work Sir!!!!

Man, That is just killer! I really like the panel van look! Add a flip pack camper or some hydrolic lifts for a pop up and there you go...!:bow::bow:

Thanks! :) I did some concept work a while back with a roof that hinged up with a canvas fold-out for a camper, but it seemed pointless to me so I didn't pursue the design any further.

Yea...

Always a bone of contention...To cut a big gaping hole in the roof just to install a potential leak called a tent.?. I suppose as long as there is enough bracing to hold a roof top tent...? I really like it man!! Now do the trial fit for a scrambler one...
