Did some more messuring today. This engine looks like it is ment for jeep CJ 😀. On monday the enginemounts Will arrive and the New oilpan and oilpump since om606 has the Pan in the front of the engine it Will hit the dana 44 front axle. The New oil Pan from a newer mercedes has the sump in the rear so this Will fin like a glove 😄😄

I love thos build! Can you go into details onto the 606 Please? The 617 here is popular but that is making them pricey. Will yours be turbo'd and intercooled?
What year is it from? Mechanical injection pump or something else??

Well since you are asking about the Engine.
As I mentioned earlier.

This is the setup that I have in mind.
Engine
OM606.910 taken from w124 1995 model mercedes this is not and original turbo engine due to that I can not use alot of turbo pressure, but it will hold up to 25psi turbo pressure, the connecting rods are weaker on the non turbo engine. But around 25psi it will hold fine. That will give me around 350bhp and aprox 450 foot pund of tourque.

To make this power the dieselpump needs to be rebuilt bigger elements needs to be put in. The original diesel pump ha 5,5mm elements now it has 7,5 element. This has been done by this guy. http://www.dieselmeken.se/

And yes the pump is mechanical

Since there is now winter in Norway , and I sold the gwagen I hade to move snow with I made some cutom parts to put the snow plow onto the JK :-)
