I love thos build! Can you go into details onto the 606 Please? The 617 here is popular but that is making them pricey. Will yours be turbo'd and intercooled?
What year is it from? Mechanical injection pump or something else??

Well since you are asking about the Engine.
As I mentioned earlier.

This is the setup that I have in mind.
Engine
OM606.910 taken from w124 1995 model mercedes this is not and original turbo engine due to that I can not use alot of turbo pressure, but it will hold up to 25psi turbo pressure, the connecting rods are weaker on the non turbo engine. But around 25psi it will hold fine. That will give me around 350bhp and aprox 450 foot pund of tourque.

To make this power the dieselpump needs to be rebuilt bigger elements needs to be put in. The original diesel pump ha 5,5mm elements now it has 7,5 element. This has been done by this guy. http://www.dieselmeken.se/

And yes the pump is mechanical

Here is the magical pump :-)

Hi there cj8 overlander,

Anymore progress with your OM606/nag1/Dana 300 project? I’m going to do the same combo in a 1970 Scout, are you

able to share the dismantlers name where you found the donor nag1? I want to locate one for my project, do you have

any more pictures to share? Thanks for your time in responding
