On two of my scramblers, I am running the Mopar fuel injection kit from Hesco. I have had some problems with both jeeps vapor locking at higher altitude. After after a lot of trial and error, I figured out that where I had my fuel pump mounted, “ in front of the fuel tank above the rear axle/exaust” was a heat trap. The fuel pump was getting really hot causing the fuel to turn to vapor. It was then pumping vapor up to the motor causing it to die. I relocated the fuel pump to the rear of the tank, and the problem was solved. A little over a year ago, I decided to replace the loud external fuel pumps in both Jeeps, with the Novac “in tank” fuel pumps. I had. been very happy with them up until a couple of months ago. While driving my jeep, it suddenly died. It would not restart, so I checked the fuel rail valve, and nothing came out. No fuel pressure. Once I got it back to the shop, I dropped the tank and found a huge split in the fuel line. Turns out Novak no longer uses this blue hose because they’ve had several problems like this one. Thought I’d make the forum aware in case anybody else is running these pumps. Novak is sending me some replacement hose. to remedy the problem.
