20210220_122050.jpgJust got my spare tire carrier back from the powder coater. The original tire carrier to mounting brackets bolts are in bad shape. Should I replace them with like bolts or using a bushing?

I never understood why it needed shoulder bolts. I used a normal bolt. I actually resized the hole slightly since they were a bit worn and so it would fit a common size bolt.

I wondered the same thing. I was thinking of going a size smaller and using a brass bushing.

I am at the same point! Both my carriers had standard bolts- I was looking for something more “trick” and am trying to decide between a socket head or a 12 point ARP.

7/16 fits mine perfectly, without drilling the holes.
