Picture of windshield mounting on Rally Tops / Xtreme Tops full hard top?

Does anyone have a Rally Tops/Xtreme Tops full hard top they can post a pic of the front windshield mounting area?

Do they mount with screws like a factory half cab had top or are there latches? I have a front cage hoop that would likely prevent latches. I don't mind drilling holes in the windshield frame to mount it.

This is the style of top I'm interested in:

And this is my cage/windshield - there is a 3/4" gap between the cage and windshield frame:

Thanks!

When I bought my Top, they sent two of these latches and brackets. The bracket mounts behind/in conjunction with the visor. I ended up ordering two more bracket and latches from Extreme Tops. “I had a little bit of wind noise”. I believe he sent them to me at no cost. So i’m using a total of 4 latches.

@HighSierra CJ Thanks for those pics! That helps a lot. It's going to be close with the two outer latches. My cage curves around before the outer sun visor screw holes. I may have to make a custom attachment. I'm not too concerned about quick release.

Did adding the additional two latches stop the wind noise you mentioned? Were you able to just screw the additional latches to the hard top? It was thick enough/reinforced across the entire width?

Thanks!

The additional latches did stop the wind noise completely. There is a thick ridge about 2 inches wide that was designed to mount the latches to. This mounting ridge runs the full width so you could screw into it with no problem. In fact, I have a battery operated dome light mounted, centered with my rearview mirror. I’m very happy with this top. I’m thinking about buying another one for my other Scrambler.

Great! Thanks for the feedback @HighSierra CJ

Mike at Xtreme Tops is taking some measurements I sent of my custom roll cage and seeing if the rear section will clear the hard top. If it does, I will likely order one.

FWIW, I would always have issues with wind noise back when I would put the world cab on for winter. I finally started putting a roll of the pliable putty rope caulk on top of the frame before I'd install it. Used it with the Safari Cab from Gr8tops on the LJ too. Never hardens and comes off cleanly with a little elbow grease.

Found it when I reinstalled all the windows on our old bus conversion tow pig and realized it would be ideal for the windshield of a hard top.

These looking very similiar to the ones used on Acme tops. I believe you can still find one like that at McMaster Carr.
