I wish posters would at least put a small explanation about what their picture are about. I would help old people like me.

I think Jersey's pic was the elusive NON-RUSTED feet on a rollbar... very rare to see in the wild of New England!

backing into a parking space at work this morning with the CJ-7, my clutch pedal lets go and hits the tub/firewall with a loud bang. I avoided hitting the car next to me. Straightend the 7 out and pushed it back by hand. Lunch hour should be fun...

Did the clutch rod snap or was it hydraulic?
Sounds like a lot of power shifting and slow going on the way home :(

A long time ago, one of my CJ5's had the pivot plate break off the firewall... the top bolt sheared off and then the pedal went to the floor... scary, but not a very hard fix once I got it back home.

That compression clip that holds the ball and socket together popped out, luckily the clip was still in the dust boot. All back together on the lunch hour. Not sure why it popped a part though...

the plastic cup in the socket was in good shape as well as I changed it out about 5 years ago when it broke. Maybe the clip was never seated right from that long ago? Trying to think of a reason that clip would pop out?

Is the ball maybe worn a bit? Like there was grit instead of grease?
No lift right... so angles are all the stock angles?
Were you off camber this morning stretching the body one way and the frame the other?
I doubt all of it, but food for thought

Good questions, 4" suspension lift and 33" tires. I was off camber with going sideways up a grass embankment to get into the last "up front" parking spot. Left front wheel up bank first, then right front, then left rear. Right rear remained on parking lot.
