Re-Build to begin!

Cleaned the bottom of the tub with muratic acid and applied some undercoating to hopefully prevent further rust.

Wow, Lookin great! Y'all know it already but your doing a great job!

Keep it up!
Thanks! Its a Scrambler so it is all worth while.

tub is back on, along with cage, front seats and one fender.
almost all engine conections to fire wall are done as well the only thing not hooked up are the wires that run to the tranny (can't seem to locate them, with 2 Scramblers tore apart in our shop sometimes it is hard to find your parts). Maybe get it running this weekend. Probably will need to a day to fill fluids and go back over every nut and bolt to make sure there tight.

Jason, looks like we're all is the same boat. Got mine torn down and I know Scrangler has his torn down too. Time to for me to kick it into high gear!:D

Very productive and exciting Saturday! The SCRAMBER still runs, well after figuring out I had a bad solenoid.
Also got all fluids refilled and the front end back on, it looks like a Jeep again.
Need to bleed the brakes and clean up the mess the power steering made by foaming all over my nice clean parts.

Got alot done since last post but not much that shows up in pictures.
I am fabing up some new front and rear bumpers.
I hope to get the 8 to a local tarp company and get them to modify or build me a cover similar to the Rain Gear Cover. I was really disappointed that Rain Gear would not work with me on a custom cover.
Really getting down to a lot of small crap to finish up and then go over all nuts, bolts and fluids one more time.

Ran the 8 up on the wedge trailer to flex it out to measure for shock length.

Jason looks sweet~!

I was curious. Are you using the Ford F250 shock towers now? Did you have those last summer? I really love how much more axle travel you can get with those over the stock towers!

I know this one place that sells shocks!
Yes I think I know where that might be. I took some dimensions the other day but I want to take them again to be sure. I'll probably be calling Monday, just been to busy this past week.

Just wondering if I should paint these or leave them blaze orange?

If I leave them blaze orange at least I would be easy to pick out in the National Scramble group picture from Moab.

HOT PINK baby!!!!! show your the world your secure in your manhood. Actually they would look good orange. Ask 1badcj8. He has caught the orange fever.

It that the place next to band camp?

I think you need a 9012 rancho or something along those lines now Jason! I really loved the flex moving from the little stock 1981 towers that were only 3" tall to the FORD ones. Like night and day for safety!

Looking forward to checking out all the work you have done this winter!

I vote to leave them Orange, afterall, you Kansas boys know it's tough to beat anything that's orange and blue! (obtuse NFL reference)

Looks good!
