Got my Scrambler back last nite, made quick trip to 4x4Land, Topeka to pick it up! Cage looks awesome and really made the Scrambler feel real solid. Didn't get much done on it today besides taking a few pictures.
A few pic's of the A hoop. 1/4" sandwich plates at floor bolted together. Heavy wall square tube runs up behind dash with a plate welded to the tube then it all bolts together.
A bracket was fabricated to move the parking brake so not to interfere with the tubing that goes up behind dash.
The C hoop just mounts at the rear factory roll bar location and does not tie into the frame.
B hoop. Once again 1/4" sandwich plates bolted together and ties it to the frame. The horizontal bar and the floor and angular bar running to it really makes the cage rigid.
Few more pic's, these are the B post and how it ties in.
Added holes to cage for mounting of rear seat, front seat belts and mounting hi-lift jack. Removed cage and is now ready for the powder coater.
Separated tub from frame (again!). Forgot about hole for parking brake cable in frame (the frame plates covered it up), once the hole is cut and axles removed it is also off for powder coating.
Looks good Jason. Was at Mike's today getting those Rockwells, he had two Scramblers he was working on in addition to the one on the floor. Had an interesting desing where he cut out the floor board and put in a remoavable plate so you could access the tranny and transfer case (Atlas) from the top.
