Has any used a aluminum ring snatch block out in the real world? There's lots of tests showing how great they are.......way lighter and easier to pack.......anyway, I bought one.......thoughts....opinions......20230818_172819.jpg

Look at the Yankum Ropes ring, instead. It has an offset center hole which allows for a much smoother path for the winch line. The offset stops the rotation of the ring, which reduces the wear on the soft shackle. Much better, in my opinion.

Casey Ladel on youtube had a video on this ring showing some various ways to set it up. Depending on how your winch line is setup you can run it through the middle of the ring too and get another snatch block from that same ring.

I’ve got a couple of the Factor 55 rings and love them. I’ve used them to redirect the winch line to take down trees here at the house. One was used in extracting a members Jeep I believe at the Nationals in PA.
