Scrambler on Bring A Trailer

I'm not surprised. I was only half kidding about the axles. I looked at getting complete Dana 44 axle assemblies setup for 4.10 gears and it was around $7000 (that will be another thread for me where I ask some advice). If you add in all the driveline stuff and you can easily get more if it's done right and you have the right buyer. My biggest concern is the nick in the paint. A scratch I can understand, but the way it looks like it's pealing makes me think the paint didn't adhere that well

For posterity:

Thanks, meant to do that but I saw a squirrel. Seeing this on my big monitor I see a lots of bumps. I would definitely want to see it close up if I was interested.

What do I win for being closest? :headbang:

It's a game changer for high-end restores/restomods now that BAT has auctions IMHO. I didn't know that before this thread.

Probably the same deal for nice survivors. It'll kick the #($& out of eBay all day long assuming it's an honest listing.

One born every minute, true then and true now......

And he clearly doesnt trust it to drive if he leads with 'bring a trailer'....

This rig is a steal even at 30k. Try building one for less. Even if you do the work yourself it will be close. The paint seems to be the weakest link and the seller admits it in the description. If it was an FJ, we would be at $45-50k.

Not really. That would likely be a joke based on the site it's listed on. You're thinking like a Jeeper, this site is for high end cars where often people are bringing a trailer because they don't want to add miles to get the vehicle home. Think like a car collector.

yeah well clearly I failed to successfully convey the sarcasm I had intended.

I think the new buyer fixed the hood and put it on eBay. Link on the way.

Not even sure they did that...Still there, between the R and the A on the passenger side.

With all the fees, if the sellers plan was to flip they're going to be pretty sorry, I'm afraid.

Good call walker. I just assumed it was corrected cause the seller makes no mention of that major defect in the description
