Regarding your cigarette lighter...I needed power outputs as well as I do charge my phone with it and have a spotlight that plugs into the cigarette lighter. I ordered a pair from Blue Sea Systems 12 volt charger port and a Blue Sea Systems Dual USB port. Both have covers that keep the dirt / water out and can either be screwed down with these removable rectangular collars or the collar can be removed and the screw collar secures it from the dash. I have those two and two switches mounted in my radio space via a piece of sheet metal (got that idea from someone here) and held on with the switches through the radio posts and tightened down.

I'll either want things mounted on the centerline or out of the way (I use the cupholders right above those to hold my phone while it's plugged in, for instance.) so I think the ports are better over there.
Played with more templates and added the last two gauges I want. Problem is that the defroster duct is in the way behind these.

My dilemma now is what to do with the heater/defrost setup. When I got under the dash, I found the flexible duct is toast. I'd patched it with duct tape in AK but it's done now. I've also never really trusted the stock blower motor and wiring anyway and ultimately want to go to an aftermarket setup. I'm thinking it's time to pull the whole shebang out and come back later with a new aftermarket unit.
Not sure if the defroster duct is a normal stock one or something special for RHD. I'll try to get pictures.
I'm tempted to just hole saw away where I want the gauges and just deal with whatever comes of it.
