TDK CJ8 Hy-brid frame with TJ the suspension, anyone?

Beautiful ! Usually not the shade of this green but looks good with the black. 50 years ago I had a Honda CT 70 close to that shade and loved it then

designerRob, It's John Deere Green. The same color as the CJ-7 I built before it. And, since I fell in love with the color and I'm "RockTractror" in most forums - I just stuck with it.

Belizeit, I hear you. When I bought the tub for my CJ-7 - it was already painted. I hated it at the beginning and planned to paint it yellow. But, as the build when on, the color grew on me and I kept it!

Did you get long or short arms? What tire size and spring? The Hybrid frame has body mounts that resemble 2” lift… also front inner fenders need to be trimmed to fit around shock hoops6487BF29-17DC-43B6-957A-87B720A023D8.jpeg
 
Great to know, I did order short arms as I am probably only going to have a 3 inch lift, I see that you had short arms, would you do different? I have had a Rusty long arm on a TJ/LJ and was happy with it. I don't have tires or lift, but was probably thinking 31 or 32 maybe. I don't even have an engine or trans yet..
 
I ran 32” tires with 2” Teraflex springs and short arms. The angle on short arms was more than I expected see rear arm below, I would do long arms. I also bought TDK skid after realizing it was best option. I sold Jeep to build another A Diesel JL and a driver Cj8. I understand “Blue” will be back on BAT soon…

Pretty CJ-8, I will watch it on BAT. I have built CJ-7 with 4” non long arms, only had issues with the driveshaft. I am really not looking for a wheeler. I was thinking of doing the Cummins R2.
